The Pause and Restore Retreat Days are held on the Farm at Tiptoe in tranquil North Northumberland, and they are designed to give you an opportunity to slow down, and, through a combination of activities, support mind, body and spirit.
The day is a gentle break from everyday busyness and stress and is led by BASI Mat Pilates instructor Lucy Carroll and baker and therapist Pauline Beaumont (author of Bread Therapy – The Mindful Art of Baking Bread).
Individuals or small groups can book with a limit of 5 people, and you will be able to enjoy meeting new people and learning and developing new skills. You can either arrange a date to suit you, or we have some pre-planned dates in 2024 – check this out on the website.
Reviews from guests:
“Pauline and Lucy were nurturing, knowledgeable and passionate. I came away feeling energised, refreshed, and motivated”
“Bread and Pilates – a beautifully tactile, gentle, and completely relaxing combination! I left feeling empowered and truly happy from the inside out”
“I enjoyed the peace of the woods and the companionship of meeting new people”

The Masons Arms is a Freehouse. It was purchased by Linda & James in 2014. A former coaching house. It is one of the oldest buildings in this historic village of Norham. Originally owned by the Mason family. It is one of the oldest public houses in Northumberland.
We pride ourselves in trying to make your stay with us as comfortable and relaxed as possible. We are a family run business, not part of a commercial chain and we treat our patrons as friends rather than customers. We maintain the antiquity of the building, we don’t have juke boxes or gaming machines, but we do have darts, dominos and “the bull ring”, all to be enjoyed beside our open coal fire.
