Barmoor Castle: Kicking Off the New Season with More Rain Due!

Barmoor Castle: Kicking Off the New Season with More Rain Due!

We are looking forward to welcoming our lovely holiday home owners back for another season here at Barmoor Castle!

We’ve been counting down the days until we could fling open the gates and see your familiar faces returning to your special spot in our 200 acres of peaceful, countryside bliss (and mud with all this rain lately…… but mostly bliss). [barmoorcastle.co.uk]

Now, we’d love to say the season has begun with blue skies, gentle sunshine, and birds singing like they’re auditioning for a West End musical…
But let’s be honest:

The rain has been showing off.

Relentless? Yes.
Persistent? Absolutely.
Falling at a jaunty sideways angle? Without fail.

If rainfall were a sport, Northumberland would currently be undefeated champions. It’s been the kind of rain that makes you consider building an ark or at least investing in a sturdier pair of wellies.

But here’s the good news:
Barmoor has taken it all in its stride — or rather, in soak. The trees are standing proud, the lawns are as springy as ever, and the wildlife is acting like nothing unusual is happening. (The ducks, of course, are delighted.)

Your home‑from‑home is ready and waiting

Despite the weather’s dramatic flair, the park is still its serene, tranquil self — a little wetter, perhaps, but no less beautiful. Surrounded by the Northumberland coast, the Cheviot Hills, and the Scottish Borders, it remains the perfect peaceful retreat for our owners‑only community. [barmoorcastle.co.uk]

And we know that once you’re settled in, with a cuppa in hand, looking out at your beautiful surroundings, the rain becomes less of a nuisance and more of a soundtrack.

Here’s to the season ahead

So as you dust off your garden chairs (optimists, the lot of you), hang up your raincoats, and step back into your favourite place, we want you to know how happy we are to be welcoming you back.

Rain or shine — and let’s face it, probably rain for a bit — it’s going to be another wonderful year at Barmoor Castle.

Northumberland, often called “castle country,” boasts more castles than any other county in England.
